Setting up IMAP access for Outlook 2000

 

1.      Go to the Control Panel and click on the Mail applet

 

 

2.       Create a new profile by clicking Add…

 

 

3.      Enter your First Name and Last Name and Click Next.

 

 

 

4.      Enter your email address and Click Next.

 

 

 

5.      Select IMAP from the drop down menu.

6.      Enter imap.sccd.ctc.edu in Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: text box

7.      Enter your ISP SMTP server in Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: text box

8.      Click Next

 

 

9.      Enter your Account Name (Your email alias).

10.  Enter your Password

11.  Check the Remember password (If you want outlook to remember your password.)

12.  and Click Next

 

 

13.  Select the type of connection you use (If this is not the first time you configure outlook, you’ll not see this step.)

14.  and Click Next

 

 

15.  Click Finish
